Ian is a 59 year old man who has been referred to your rehabilitation clinic for management of his Parkinson’s disease. Ian previously walked 5km’s per day and played tennis bi-weekly.
PMHx:
- Parkinson’s disease (Dx 3 years ago)
- Urge urinary incontinence
- T2DM
- HTN
SHx:
- Lives in a SSH with wife (63 y/o) – 1 step FA with 2x rails
- Ian and wife are both retired
- Has 2 children who live overseas in the UK
- Receives nursing care 3x/wk for ADL assistance
Main Complaints:
- Gait freezing
- Back pain
- Self care ADLs
