Cardiopulmonary O/E: Case 1 Notes

You have been asked to conduct a respiratory assessment of Mark, a 73 year-old patient admitted 3/7 ago following a fall from a step-ladder. Mark has a R) distal radius # and some bruising on his upper back from the MOI. He was admitted to hospital 4 years ago for an acute exacerbation of COPD, however has since been otherwise well. Mark smokes 5-6 cigarettes/day and struggles with some ADLs because of SOBOE. You read through his medical notes and find that he has been stable overnight. He has been up once this am for the bathroom. When you arrive, Mark is awake, lying supine in bed.
